HAFT provides eight free Medical Camps
As the Covid pandemic restrictions were slowly lifted during April 2021 in Uganda, HAFT volunteers were able to recommence their valuable work among the rural villages.
They staffed Medical Camps in eight different locations to provide free health screening, basic treatment services, diabetes testing, health advice, and, for a small fee of 10,000 Ugandan shillings ( £2), cervical screening tests.
About 400 villagers took advantage of this opportunity. Most were reassured and given advice on how to manage their condition, and a few were supported to seek further treatment.
