In Kanungu District, located in the western part of Uganda, a recent measles outbreak has claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy and left 10 others critically ill. HAFT-UG Team have swiftly responded by initiating a community-wide education campaign aimed at raising awareness
about preventive measures against the highly contagious disease.
Measles, a preventable viral infection, poses a significant risk to unvaccinated individuals, particularly children. The outbreak has prompted health teams to intensify efforts in educating residents about vaccination benefits and early symptoms recognition.
